How We Protect Your Finish, From Backing to Handover
A whiteboard wall is only as good as the surface beneath it and the timing of the work around it. This is how we work with main contractors, carpenters and clients on every project.
Scheduled for the best finish
We work with the main contractor or client to plan when our work goes in, for the best finishing outcome and the lowest risk of damage to the new surfaces from other trades.
Consultation and sample panels for carpenters
Main contractors often prefer their own carpenters to build the whiteboard backing. Depending on project requirements, we offer detailed consultation and sample panels so the base is built right. This is crucial for whiteboard walls on Polykem or smooth laminated plywood backing, because the final finish depends on the workmanship of the backing. Where thickness allows, we recommend two layers: a plywood base layer to secure and level, and a Polykem top layer with minimal nails, its joints filled thinly with poly putty and sanded smooth to the hand.
Backing checked before installation
Before the scheduled film installation date, we check the backing finish and give feedback on anything to improve, so issues are fixed before the film goes on, not after.
Progress updates
You get regular progress updates, so the main contractor and client always know where our work stands.
A tidy job site
We store our materials properly and keep our work area tidy, so the site stays safe and organised for everyone.
